WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL. WordPress is a free open source software that is available for install in your cPanel Softaculous installer for free. This article will explain how to install WordPress through Softaculous.
Step 1 – Login to your cPanel Account
Go to Software section, then click on the Softaculous icon.
Step 2 – Click on the WordPress logo. This will open a screen with several options to show You will see a screen with Install, Overview, Features, and Import. Click on the Install link.
Step 3 – Enter your desired WordPress Blog Information
On this page, you will be configuring your new WordPress Installation:
Choose Domain: This allows you to select the Domain Name that will be used to display your new WordPress Installation.
In Directory: This is the folder/path that this installation will be displayed from. Example enter the directory as WP.
Site Name: This is the name that will be displayed on your new WordPress Installation, this can be changed later.
Site Description: This is the description that will be displayed on your new WordPress Installation, this is changeable.
Admin Username: This will be the unique username used to access your WordPress Admin Panel.
Admin Password: This will be the unique password used to access your WordPress Admin Panel.
Select Language: This is the language your WordPress Admin Panel will be configured
Step 4 – Install – Once all settings have been inputted click Install !
Once you have installed the wordpress application, you can the see the default wordpress page. while accessing your domain name.
