How to upload files using FileZilla

How to upload files using FileZilla.

FileZilla is a FTP client   (available for windows, linux and MAC)  it will help you to upload your website files to the web quickly and easily.

Download the FileZilla client HERE

Once downloaded, Install the Filezilla Client in your local PC.

Step 1 – Connect to your account using FileZilla.                                                                                                                               Make sure the you have created the FTP account for your domain. Then open the FileZilla client in your PC.

In that text box you must fill details,

Host: Enter your domain name (yourdomainname.com)
Username: Enter the username (FTP username) which is created in your cPanel
Password: Enter the password (FTP password) which is created in your cPanel
Port No: 21

Step 2 – Navigate to your “public_html” folder.

Once FTP connection accepted, it will show the root directory of your account. so you must move to the “public_html” folder. Once you uploaded the valid contents in public_html folder, website will comes live.

Optional: If you want to upload files to a subdirectory, to a subdomain, all you need to do is double-click on that folder to access it. Once you are in the folder you can upload files and you can see the changes in your website.

Step 3 –  Locate and upload your website files.

Once you have located the website files you want to upload in your PC, simply drag and drop those files/folders into the right-side.


The bottom panel will show the progress of your files being uploaded. Once it stops, you can check your website with your browser.
