How to unblock an IP address from WHM for VPS and dedicated server.<\/strong><\/p>\n

IP Blocked and Its reasons.<\/p>\n

IP address blocks on the web server firewall to prevent hacking, spamming or other attacks on your hosting account and other services.<\/p>\n

This will also happen frequently, if you are\u00a0 trying to log in too many times with invalid credentials (in a short period of time), such as trying to access your FTP, cPanel, Mail using incorrect credentials, the firewall will think that it is an attack on the server and will block you.<\/p>\n

Step 1<\/strong> –\u00a0If your IP is blocked, get your IP (you can know your IP using\u00a0http:\/\/iptest.in\/<\/a>\u00a0 URL). Once you got the IP address you can unblock the IP address by using\u00a0 below steps.<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/strong> –\u00a0Log into WHM<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/strong> –\u00a0\u00a0once logged in, Search and click on the ConfigServer Security & Firewall tool.<\/p>\n

Step\u00a0 4<\/strong> –\u00a0Find the (Search for IP<\/strong> ) section, Enter the blocked IP address in text box then click on the (Search for IP<\/strong>) button.<\/p>\n

Step 5<\/strong> –\u00a0If the IP is blocked you can see this screen. Take note of the reason for the IP block.
\nOnce done, Click the green (Unblock button<\/strong>) to unblock the IP.<\/p>\n

Due to mail owner using invalid or old credentials frequently, so IP address has been blocked in server firewall.<\/p>\n

Note :<\/strong> Change the mail ID’s password through cPanel and try to access the mail account.<\/p>\n

Step 6 – You can also use (Quick unblock<\/strong>) option to unblock the IP address<\/p>\n

Step 7\u00a0 – Input the IP address in the Quick Unblock field and click on\u00a0Quick Unblock.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How to Block Traffic by Country<\/strong><\/h3>\n

FIREWALL –\u00a0A firewall is a network security system, either hardware- or software-based, that uses rules to control incoming and outgoing network traffic.<\/p>\n

One of the most-requested features on cPanel servers is the ability to manage and filter traffic at a country level.<\/p>\n

For some security reasons, some specific countries will blocked in server firewall.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/strong> –\u00a0 How to block the country<\/p>\n

  • The\u00a0CC_DENY<\/strong>\u00a0field accepts two-letter country codes, such as \u201cUS\u201d for the United States of America, \u201cGB\u201d for Great Britain, and \u201cDE\u201d for Germany.<\/li>\n
  • Multiple countries can be comma separated with no spaces in between, such as \u201cUS,GB,DE\u201d to deny access to the US, Great Britain, and Germany.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Step 5<\/strong> – If you want to allow the country in server firewall, use\u00a0CC_ALLOW\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>field to enter two-letter country codes.<\/p>\n
