How to customize the webmail & cPanel URL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Webmail\u00a0allows you to access your email accounts through any web browser.<\/p>\n

cPanel\u00a0allows you to manage your hosting account\u00a0through any web browser.<\/p>\n

By default the webmail URL is – http:\/\/domainname.com\/webmail<\/p>\n

By default the cPanel URL is – http:\/\/domainname.com\/cpanel<\/p>\n

But you can customize the URL in few steps.<\/p>\n

Step 1 –<\/strong>\u00a0Log into cPanel >>Under Domains, click the\u00a0Redirects<\/strong>\u00a0icon

From the Type drop-down menu, select which type of redirect is to be used.
\nPermanent 301<\/strong> is a redirect that will update the visitor’s bookmarks and direct search engines to the new site.
\nTemporary 302<\/strong> is a redirect that will redirect the visitor or search engine but will not update the bookmark, and search engines will continue to index to the original page.<\/p>\n

Step 2 – Set the redirection for the domain name.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the “http:\/\/(www.)” drop-down menu, choose the domain name you would like to redirect. (yourdomain.com)<\/p>\n

If you would like to redirect a single page or directory, you can use the adjacent text field to enter the name of the folder or file. Ex-\u00a0about.php<\/p>\n

Type the destination URL in the redirect field and enable the redirection as per your wish. (http:\/\/example.com\/contact)<\/p>\n

Once all done, Click “ADD”<\/strong> to set the redirection.<\/p>\n

Now when someone visits www.yourdomain.com\/about.php, they will be automatically redirected to www.example.com\/contact<\/p>\n

Step 3 –\u00a0\u00a0Customize the webmail & cPanel URL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steps are same as STEP 3,\u00a0<\/strong>Before do the webmail redirection process create a folder as (mailme) under public_html folder.<\/p>\n

Once created,\u00a0choose the domain name (yourdomain.com),\u00a0enter the name of the folder as (mailme) in below text box.<\/p>\n

You can check created path status by accessing it – http:\/\/yourdomain.com\/mailme<\/p>\n

Then enter the destination URL which is your webmail URL – https:\/\/yourdomain.com\/webmail<\/p>\n

Once all done, Click “ADD”<\/strong> to set the redirection.<\/p>\n

Now you can access your webmail with your customize URL, When you access\u00a0 www.yourdomain.com\/mailme<\/strong> URL it will be automatically redirected to www.yourdomain.com\/webmail<\/strong><\/p>\n
