How to put your WordPress site in maintenance mode for visitors while accessing the website.
Step 1 – Initially need to install the WP Maintenance Mode plugin and activate it.
Step 2 – Once Activated need to go to Settings » WP Maintenance Mode to do modification in the plugin as per your requirement.
Step 3 – In GENERAL option, select the “Activate” to trigger on the maintenance mode. Once Activated the maintenance mode plugin you can see the current working website by login the DASHBOARD, Also you can do the website modification and changes. It will not reflect to visitors until DEACTIVATED the status >> Settings >> WP Maintenance Mode >> General >> Status
Step 4 – In Design option, to set the title, heading and content to display on your maintenance page. also you can choose colors for the displayed text.
Step 5 – In background option you can upload and set the background image by your choice, else you can use the predefined images too. After choosing your background, click on the save settings option.
Step 6 – To set the countdown option for If creating a coming soon page or users want to know when site will be up, then use countdown time module.
Step 7 – Also this plugin display the signup form for users can provide their email address to receive updates. You can then export the list of your subscribers and import it into your email list.
Step 8 – Once you have the set all the configurations in WP Maintenance Mode, you can see the maintanance site like this
